Follow the excavations at Malqata beginning in February

Beginning in February 2010, Dr. Peter Lacovara, Senior Curator of Egyptian, Nubian, and Near Eastern Art at Emory’s Michael C. Carlos Museum and Dr. Diana Patch, Associate Curator of Egyptian Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, will begin blogging about their excavations.   This season’s efforts will focus on refining the general survery, documenting the exposed structures along with preparing conservation assessment and working with the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt to help ensure the future safeguarding of the site.
